Adrienne Potier Dole

October 2, 1964 - March 9, 2022

Adrienne Potier Dole, born October 2, 1964, deceased March 9, 2022, at her home in Alexandria, LA surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. David Brooks officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 PM until time of service at the church. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Potier, of Parks, La and her mother, Doreen Anderson Potier, of Dunoon, UK. She is survived by her husband Michael Dole, MD; son Evan Dole of Little Rock, AR, son Grant Dole and his fiancé Paige Goff of Dallas, TX, son Dominque Lavalais of Dallas, TX; sister, Ashlay Ardoin of Greenville, SC and cousin, Gina Boudreaux of Catahoula, LA. She is also survived by numerous friend groups: Ladies of the Lake, M-Fers (More Funners), Hooties, Bible Study, Nursing Schoolers, NOLA Tulane gang, Birthday Gang, Covid Supper Club, Kappa Sig moms, Parenting Retreat, Margarita Mamas, and many more. Adrienne was born in Dunoon, Scotland and grew up in Lake Charles, LA. She graduated from LaGrange High School, where she was voted Miss Fashion, in 1982; and she attended McNeese State University, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She also attended LSU and Charity School of Nursing, before finally finishing her BSN-RN at McNeese in 1990. She worked as a pediatric RN at Boston Children’s, New Orleans Children’s and Tulane Children’s Hospitals. She was very involved in her community. She was a long serving board member of the Hope House of Central La. As chapter president of Chi Omega for CenLa she wrote innumerable recommendation letters for those rushing her beloved Chi O. She was a member of Krewe of Gratiae, Krewe of Twelfth Night and Krewe of Iris of NOLA. Adrienne was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was actively involved in the Junior League of Alexandria and Deep South Garden Club. She was past President of the Rapides Parish Medical Alliance. She was a president of Tennyson Oaks Home Owner Assoc for 10 years, where she served as a one-woman welcoming committee to all new neighbors. Adrienne will be remembered as THE connector of people; she loved to make friends and connect them with all of her other friends. If you were her friend, you knew no better friend. She threw the most memorable parties, and made sure everyone at the party had a good time. She wrote timely thankyou notes; if her note arrived after more than 30 days, it was the Postal Services fault. She made all of our lives richer and more fun. She will live on in all our hearts and memories. A memorial fund has been established at the Hope House of CenLa, P O Box 7477, Alexandria, LA 71306, cenlahopehouse.org.
