May 22, 1975 - June 20, 2022

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Brian Michael Dauzat at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Kurian Zachariah officiating. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum under the direction of Kramer of Fifth Ward. Visitation will be held at Kramer of Fifth Ward from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Brian Michael Dauzat, 47, of Marksville, passed away at Rapides Regional Medical Center on Monday, June 20, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nina Dauzat; his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Dauzat, and maternal grandparents, Webster and Dolora Dauzat. Friends and family were everything to Brian. He loved cooking, camping and celebrating life with everyone. Brian helped and organized many benefit bass tournaments. He was the founder, a member and President of the bass club, Hopeful Hookers. Brian was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #9418. He enjoyed the outdoor life as an avid hunter and fisherman. Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Michael Dauzat (Pam Sayer); his sister, Beckie Scroggs (Derek); two nieces, Makenzie and Madelyn Scroggs; and a host of friends who were truly his family. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Matthew Dauzat, Lance Dauzat, Justin Bonnette, JR Guillot, Randy Guillory and Chad Coco.
