Delilah Lorraine Elliott Deville Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Funeral services for Lorraine Deville will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 13, 2020, at First Baptist Church, Lecompte, with Reverend Rodney Bragg officiating. Committal Services will follow at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Prairie, under the direction of John Kramer & Son, Alexandria. Lorraine, 84, of Lecompte, entered eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Monday March 9, 2020 at Lexington House in Alexandria, Louisiana, where she had been under the gracious care of both the outstanding staff at Lexington House and Guardian Hospice Care. She was born on March 22, 1935 to the union of Willie and Annie Elliott and raised in Pine Prairie. She was a member of the Woodmen of the World for 66 years and a member of First Baptist Church in Lecompte since 1968. She retired in June of 1995 after 24 years of dedicated service to Child Nutrition Programs for the Rapides Parish School Board. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and renowned cinnamon roll baker. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Deville; daughter, Winifred Deville; her parents; brothers, L.B. Henry and Russell Elliott; and sister, Louise Graeff. Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Theresa Dunn and husband Gary of Lecompte; Jennifer Rasberry of Alexandria; and one son W. Keith Deville and wife Pamela of Pineville; six grandchildren, Stephanie Dunn, Joseph Rasberry, Alecia Rasberry-Smith and husband Nathan, Chelsea Dunn, Clancy Dunn and wife Megan, Gracie Deville; four great-grandchildren, Landon Rasberry, Levi Rasberry, Nathanyel Smith, and Pierce Rasberry; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Lecompte. Send to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1070, Lecompte, Louisiana 71346. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at First Baptist Church in Lecompte. Visitation will resume from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the church.
