Chapel services for Larry Joe Moncusky will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 31, 2022, at John Kramer & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM in the Kramer chapel with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 10:30 AM. Larry Joe Moncusky, 72, of Pineville, passed away on January 22, 2022, at his residence. Larry is preceded in death by his parents Mary Marjorie (Doll) Mathews Moncusky and Emanuel Gabriel (Buddy) Moncusky. Larry was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, on January 22, 1950. He was a graduate of Bolton High School and received his degree in Computer Science from Northeast University. After graduating from Northeast University, Larry served in the United States Air Force as a navigator in F4 Phantom jets During his military career, Larry was stationed throughout the United States and Europe. Of the many places Larry visited while in the military, Larry enjoyed Florida the most and eventually settled there. He will be remembered for his love of animals, and how he helped countless homeless pets get rehomed and receive the care they needed. Larry also loved bird keeping. His two birds, Paco and Gilbert, were members of his family for many years. Larry will also be remembered as a smart but private man. He was a model train hobbyist and loved building and showcasing his trains. Larry will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his two sisters, Martha Moncusky Andes (William “Bill” Andes) and Marion Moncusky Ruryk (Jonathan “Jon” Ruryk); his three nephews, Gabe Andes (Jenn), Quentin Andes (Jennifer), and Brad Andes (Wendy); two nieces, Ava Andes and Alex Andes; and two great-nephews, Wyatt Andes and Baily Andes. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Joe Lacour and Bruce Hauwei. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon Ruryk, Bill Andes, Brad Andes Gabe Andes, Quentin Andes, and Bailey Andes.
