A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Veuleman Wardlow will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Montgomery, LA. Interment will follow immediately at Montgomery Cemetery. Visitation and a Celebration of Life for Margaret will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 5pm until 7pm at Kramer of Colfax with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30pm. Margaret Veuleman Wardlow (“MawMaw”) was born February 23, 1926, in Robeline, Louisiana and passed away January 28, 2022, in Montgomery, Louisiana in her home, at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kent Wardlow, parents Willie and Kate Veuleman, brothers Clifton and Wilford, and sister Mattie Mae. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Mary Ellen Wright and Jennifer Ann Wardlow both of Montgomery, LA, grandsons Ken Hale (Shannon), Peter Wright (Etienna), and Derek Nelson (Amanda), granddaughters Katie Wright Pevehouse (Josh), Jessica Wright, great-grandchildren Dylan, Drake and Ragan Hale; Claudia, Sam, and Ben Wright; Jackson, Ashton, and Haiden Nelson, Kaylee Knowles and her son, Shep Bordelon. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret loved being around her family and enjoyed having everyone over to her house. She was married to the love of her life for nearly 50 years before his death. She was known in her early years to host a great party in her home. Margaret was proud housewife and mother who had a hot meal for her family every day. As she got older, she loved collecting angels and watching birds visit her bird feeders and fountains. She was a devout Catholic and never missed mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Montgomery, where she always looked her best! She had a full life and will be dearly missed. The family will forever be grateful for the wonderful sitters that took such good care of Margaret. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Dr. Greg Brian, Rob Brian, John Veuleman, Dylan Hale, Drake Hale, Jackson Nelson, Ashton Nelson and Haiden Nelson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Wardlow, Dr. Francis Brian, Jr., Harrison Wardlow, Henry Rachal, Jarrod Pinder and James Snyder. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 624 Rowena St. Montgomery, LA 71454.
