Nicholas Jerome D'Amico
May 15, 1987 - June 9, 2022
Nicholas (Nick) Jerome D’Amico, 35, a native and life-long resident of Alexandria, escaped this earthly veil to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, June 9, 2022. God took him far too soon, but friends and family are comforted by the thought that he is at peace. Though his life was too short, those that knew him were genuinely touched by his presence. Nick never knew a stranger, and loved discussions, debates and Q&As with people of all walks to help him develop clarity and new opinions. His captivating smile and outgoing personality made everyone he met feel special. He was a loyal and committed friend who will be sorely missed. A Montessori student, he progressed to Brame Junior High then Alexandria Senior High. Nick loved music, all sports and activities, but his passion was competitive shooting and firearm education. Nick is preceded in death by his father, Glen Edward D’Amico; his paternal grandparents, Wilma and Jerome D’Amico of Alexandria; and his maternal grandparents, Edith and Clair Farley of Port Arthur, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Pat Farley D’Amico and brother Charles Christopher (Chris) D’Amico, both of Alexandria. A brief visitation will be held at John Kramer & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM with Rev. D. Bryan Rhodes officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, consider following Nick’s example and perform a random act of kindness for someone in need. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Lyndsy Do, Charles Jones, Christion Miller, Sam Morrison, Scott Snow, and Tim Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris D’Amico and Charles D’Amico. The power of God protects you, the love of God watches over you, and no matter where you are, He will be there with you always.
