Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One
The staff members of Kramer Funeral Home will guide your family in creating a meaningful ceremony to honor the life and memory of a loved one. A ceremony can be anything you wish it to be: simple or elaborate, traditional or unique. No matter how it's tailored, such a ceremony is an important step in recovering from loss.
Message from Graham Kramer
The Kramer family knows how important family is, and at Kramer Funeral Home, our family is growing. I’m proud to announce that my daughter, Sarah Kramer, has joined our staff. Sarah is the fifth generation of our family to enter the business founded by her great-great-great-grandfather in downtown Alexandria in 1875.
Sarah holds a Master of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, S.C., and a Bachelor of Arts degree in business with a concentration in management from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala. She brings to her new role at Kramer Funeral Home 17 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance fields and after a one-year apprenticeship, will assume full duties as a licensed funeral director.
I’m extremely excited about her joining us. This adds a totally new dimension to the Kramer Funeral Home dynamic in Alexandria and Central Louisiana in that we now have a fresh new generation to continue a family tradition that started almost 140 years ago.
As Sarah told us, “Service is what we’ve always done, what I’ve grown up with. My dad is a funeral director, my mom was a teacher and my sister teaches learning-disabled children in Washington, D.C. Helping people is what we’ve always done.”
We hope you will join us in welcoming Sarah to her new role at Kramer Funeral Home. Every generation of the Kramer family has made a commitment to ensure our funeral home is available to the public for another generation. Thanks to Sarah, we can continue that commitment.
As always, I and our full staff are here to assist you whenever you need us, day and night, today and in the future.
